CHARM SCHOOL: New Blog Series

“Elegance is the only beauty that never fades.”

Today I'm introducing a new blog series called "Charm School." I've been thinking about this for the past year now (maybe longer). My objective is to start a new conversation about the timeless art of poise and grace. These post are not intended to turn you into a 1940's homemaker but to remind you that being feminine is your most powerful asset and with the right tools together we as women can accomplish great things by encouraging and challenging each other to become the best person you can be in all areas of life - social, career, financial, can balance it all with grace and poise.  We live in a fast-paced world were manners have taken a back seat. It's your responsibility to hold yourself to a standard. Things that every young lady should know for example how to handle yourself in an interview, how to have difficult conversations with your loved ones. No one is perfect, we are aiming for grace not perfection.

I love being a woman and I'm attracted to anything feminine. I come from a family dominated by women. Having younger siblings I've always felt it was my duty to lead them in the right direction and that first means setting a good example by my actions. Although I haven't handled every situation with grace and poise, I have lived through it and I have learned from my experiences.

“Do you know what elegance is? It is not only what you’re wearing, it is how you wear it, who you are inside. It is the way you decorate your house, what you surround yourself with, what books you read and what your interests are.”
— Carolina Herrera

We can choose to cultivate what matters. Embrace our imperfections while still growing gracefully. These blog post will serve as encouragement and a practical guide to help navigate life. I'm not an expert I've looked back on some things that I've done or worn that wasn't befitting that have caused me to miss out on opportunities. Now that I know, I think, gosh why didn't anyone tell me?! That is the point, some of us simply don’t know. We are more than what we post on social media. Unfortunately, some are not empowered enough to carry themselves with dignity. I am here for you, to help guide you to becoming who you have always wanted to be but did not have the "tools".
